Here’s the Good Girls contribution to summer: our very own “Swimsuit” Issue.
Of course, we’ve done it, as Laura said earlier in the week, in true Good Girls fashion…

If you’re feeling lucky and want to hazard a guess as to who’s pictured in each photo, be our guest…
What’s your favorite place for fun in the sun? Is there a beach, pool, lake, or river you want to get away to this summer?
-
Okay, top to bottom.

Am I close?
-
Well I guess I can’t guess since I know….
I’ve been loving fun in the sun this summer. Lots of beach days (which is a departure from my usual pool days) and lots of days just walking around. Today would be a great beach day, but it looks like I’m getting the full-on press (read: being begged) to go to Navy Pier. Beach might have to wait until tomorrow (although I also have a lot of work to do and ought to just hole up and do it; so maybe it’s library tomorrow). Regardless, I LOVE SUMMER!

Close, but no cigar…

I’m a beach girl myself. And I just returned from one last week. It was GREAT!
With any luck, I’ll sneak in another day there while in the Northeast for a wedding in late August.

I love the summer too, as long as I’m near a pool or can get away to the beach. And I love the way the night air feels in the desert….
-
I know this will shock Laura, but I’m not a beach kind of girl. Having said that–the white sand and clear water at Destin has spoiled me for all other beaches. The water is turquoise. TOURQUOISE! And you can see through it. Beautiful.

I will admit to not being a big fan of sand….

That’s my guess. But you are all so gorgeous, who could tell?
And thanks for letting me play in your house this week. I had a great time and I’m sorry about the broken furniture.
-
Again, close. But no.
We loved having you David. The broken furniture lends a certain charm.

I can’t imagine any other context in which a cobalt blue martini glass is utterly right.

Keep guessing.

Good Girls, we have a winner!

Congrats, Theo! You know your Good Girls!

I must say I’m thrilled to know we deceived so many of our faithful readers. A good sign for our writing, I hope.

Well, at least I got Diana right. Of course, she was the easiest to get.
Regina, I am embarrassed - I have actually met you (in another personna, of course) and would have hoped at least to guess you correctly. My age must have dimmed my observation.
Ah well….

Theo knows his Good Girls? Nah.
This game combined Theo’s two favorite hobbies: voyeurism and Sudoku. Laura’s color commentary on the wrong answers turned this into a simple math problem. Remember: not only does Theo have a sparkling personality, but he also crushed his SATs.
Theo’s only regret? He should’ve held onto the right answer until you started offering valuable cash prizes.

No valuable cash prizes to speak of…but, perhaps a book?
Send a snail mail addy to me at laura@laurabradford.com and you can have a book. For what it’s worth…

Theo, when I took SAT’s was far enough in the past that the top possible score was 800.
It has been said that age and cunning will triumph over youth & skill - but in this case it didn’t.
Enjoy!

Just for the record: way too hot at the beach today.

It’s baking here, too. How about we retreat to a cool movie theater?

Late comer here, but I’ve been traveling to China. SO, since my hotel is very near the Yangtze River, and I watch people swim in it every day, I’ll say the river bank at the Yangtze.

Sara, a movie sounds great. What shall we see????
-
Umm…Looks like it would be a choice between penguins (again), mutant cars, and the girl detective. I pick Nancy. Anyone else have a good new movie to suggest?

Don’t ask me why…because i don’t think the reviews are all that great…but I want to see Waitress. I may treat myself to a “me date” if it’s still out.

Not a chick flick, but I saw Transformers on a whim Friday night. I was surprised by how entertaining and humorous it was. My wife does not necessarily share my opinion.
Thought about seeing License to Wed, but then I saw the reviews.
-
“My wife does not necessarily share my opinion.”
You’re so diplomatic, Will!
The new Robin Williams movie doesn’t look good—and I like Mandy Moore. I didn’t need to see any reviews, I just looked at the posters and could tell.

after 29 years and 11 months of marriage, I finally get it. I’ve had to learn diplomacy.

Girls, does my glass make me look fat?
-
LOLOLOLOLOLOL, Diana!
I’ve read somewhere that cobalt blue martini glasses add fifteen pounds.

It’s the blue, Diana. Does it everytime….
