Merry Christmas From Our “House” to Yours

    Laura Bradford Icon

All us girls in the GGKFMC clubhouse–Diana, Tasha, Regina, Sara, and I–wish you a wonderfully happy and healthy Christmas.

May this be your most magical yet…

    Hugs,
    Laura

P.S. I’ve a blessing I’d like to share with all of you that I learned last week–news that required a little self-pinching and a few detox cry-athons before I trusted it enough to say it out loud…

After a crazy year, I’m happy to report that my latest MRI showed NO CHANGE in my M.S. over the past 12 months!!!! Which means the shots I’m taking are doing their job! I finally feel as if I’m truly going to be okay. Thanks for all of your kind wishes and thoughtful emails following my disclosure. That post has received an all-time record readership for the GGKFMC blog and the numbers are still climbing by leaps and bounds on a daily basis. As hard as it’s been to accept this disease, I’m winning the battle and feeling more optimistic every day!

An extra big thank you goes to those special people in my life who have steadfastly stood by me through the tough times. Your patience and understanding are gifts I will never forget and I think your Laura is finally back! I love you guys!!!!

    1. WE LOVE YOU, LAURA!

And I for one know you’re gonna be around a long time… like a red tulip, if you will.

HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS and we’ll do some Bordering in the new year.

    2. ****And I for one know you’re gonna be around a long time…like a red tulip, i fyou will.****

And THAT ladies and gentleman just restored the twinkle in my eye that’s been a bit slow in coming back!

Okay, Paul, I know you’re not a fan of the “LOL” so I’ll bypass that in favor of “ROTFLMAO” as that can only describe my reaction to that line. Well, that and the fact I’m eternally glad I had nothing liquid in my mouth at the time…

Bordering with you is always good. Thanks, Paul!

    4. This is such great news, Laura–now, we need to do some celebrating. Let’s get a date on the calendar.

    5. Congratulations, Laura. A merry Christmas and a wonderful 2008 to all the good girls, and the GG readers!

    6. Laura, you know how happy I am about your news. And I have a sneaking suspicion that 2008 is going to be an amazing year for you!

      Merry Christmas everybody!

by Tasha Alexander on December 24th, 2007 at 10:31 am

    7. {{Hugs}} to you too B.E. It makes taking those shots a heckuva lot easier now! Although they can’t cure what’s already there, they sure can stall things out!

***Now we need to do some celebrating*** Spoken like a true friend, Judy! Thank you! And yes, a date on the calendar. If you have any evening spots between now and New Years, I make a mean batch of fudge!!! Or we’ll come up with something!

      Thanks, JennieB!!

You know what, Tasha? I have a sneaking suspicion you might be right on 2008 being an amazing year. Anyone onboard with me?

by Laura on December 24th, 2007 at 10:50 am

    8. Let’s just go out on a limb and say 2008 will be great for all of us–I’ll pull out the cheer we used when I was a senior in high school “‘78 is great!”, updated to ‘08.

(And, it’s better than our other motto–”go to hell world, I’m a senior.” I believe we even wore t-shirts with that on it.)

      I’ll e-mail you with dates.

    9. Wow, wonderful news (((Laura)))! I’m so happy for you! I also feel 2008 will be a spectacular year.

Thank you GGs & Friends of GGs for helping inspire and encourage us all, and for giving us some damn good reading material along the way!

Happiest of Holidays & All Best Wishes for the New Year, y’all! May all your dreams come true! XXX OOO

    13. Hot DAMN! Great news. And Merry Christmas.

by J.D. Rhoades on December 25th, 2007 at 10:18 am

    14. Lynn, I loved the Christmas card. Thank you! I vow to pull myself from my 2 year Christmas card drought for 2008!

Stephen and Michelle–thank you. It’s gonna be a great year. For all of us.

Kristy, thanks! I know on the one week. We must learn to time better. But I will say it was a much needed weekend boost and I feel so much stronger and clear-headed about everything (which is why I opted NOT to run those goofy pictures Tasha and I took while I was there). :)

      Dusty, :D it feels great!

    16. Great news Laura. I guess those prayers are being heard.

And now you have a fresh start with a New Year. Hope the next nod you get is on that romance.

    17. Thanks for sharing the good news with all of us!!:D

by Cynthia on December 25th, 2007 at 8:17 pm

    18. I knew you, of all people,Keith, would understand the momentary sigh of relief this has given me. I’ll brace for next year’s when I must.

Will, I get THAT nod and I’ll be shouting from the rooftops!
