    Stock Check

    Diana Killian Icon

About this time last year we were discussing New Year’s Resolutions: who made them, who didn’t — and how many of us kept them.

Weeeellllll, it’s another year down, and today’s question is a simple one: If you made a New Year’s Resolution, were you able to keep it? And if you didn’t keep it, are making the same resolution again this year?

For the record, I made mine, I kept it, and this year my resolve is to do everything possible to hang on to it.

    How about you?

Happy New Year’s Everyone! Hope that 2008 finds you healthy & happy! Good Girls, a toast!

    1. Happy New Year, Diana, and congratulations on meeting your goal. Hope 2008 is wonderful for you, and your new yoga book is a best-seller!

Can’t remember if I made any resolutions last year. I’ve made some this year, and I’ll let you know in a year whether I get there or not.

    2. I didn’t really make any last year. Not a big believer in them.

But I will say this…I will complete two novels this year. If I don’t, slap me.

    3. Yes and no.

I did play guitar on stage but I did not play lead.

I did cut back on the amount of news I let seep into my brain pan and increased the amount of music I coming into my ears. I plan to continue this trend of less talk, more music, especially in this campaign year.

That’s as close as I’m getting to an actual resolution.

    4. Ohhhh! One more resolution.

I’m going to assemble a team for the M.S. walk here in St. Louis on April 13th.

ANY mystery writer (or GGKFMC poster) who’d like to come and walk–and get a few pledges for the cause–is welcome to crash at my place for the weekend!! In addition to a worthy cause, I can set up one heckuva group event/signing at my Borders to coincide with that weekend which means your airfare or gas to get here would be a write-off! Bring a sleeping bag and you’ve got a free place to stay. I’ll feed you!

    5. I missed mine this year. But not nest year. Last year I had plenty of excuses. There will be no excuses in 2008. That is unless I haave the same issues come up again, in which case I’ll recycle those excuses.

    6. Bente, I admit this New Year seems brighter and shinier than previous installments!

Thanks and best wishes for your New Year too!

    7. More music, less white noise sounds good to me, David! Best wishes for a happy New Year!

    8. How about a gentle nudge in the ribs? I can’t quite picture myself slapping you upside the noggin, Laura.

Happiest and healthiest of New Years, GG!

    9. Okay, Will, I’m holding you to it! :!:

    10. I have one resolution.

After 50 years of motorcycling, I managed to bend a motorccle in an accident not ofmy own making - which is a long way of saying that every other time I fell down it was my fault.

This ime it hurt a lot for a long time - and it was not my fault at all - hence the resolution - be superobservant when riding behind a pickup truck that has a driver, lest he back into my arse!

    11. I don’t really make resolutions but I do offer a toast: All best wishes to thine & mine…May everything be great in 2008!
